The Big Chocolate Tea Party!

Thursday, April 18, 2013

What a fantastic time we had at last weekend’s Big Chocolate Tea Party! The sun was shining, the cake was plentiful and you all came along in your droves to help us raise money for the Sick Children’s Trust.

Everyone seemed to have a fantastic time, enjoying the sunflower planting and flower pot decorating with Creation Station. The taster sessions from Baby Bright Eyes, Pyjama Drama and Baby Sensory were packed to the rafters and lots of people trialled slings from the Sheffield Sling Library.

Massive thanks to all the stall holders, and to everyone who donated the yummy cakes and raffle prizes.

And of course, congratulations to #brownies, who came out top in our taste test with their unbelievable ‘eat me’ brownies!

Happily, we managed to raise almost £680 for the Sick Children’s Trust, a fantastic charity which funds and manages free ‘homes away from home’ for families with children who are ill in hospital. In Sheffield, they run the wonderful Treetop House.

Again, thanks so much to everyone who came along, and thanks to the many people who supported the event, and without whose help we would have been scuppered!

Looking forward to the next one already!
